Choice Sheets
I want to take Newspaper next year. The reason I would like to take this class, is that I love to write and give opinions about things going on around me. I am more interested in the writing than in the pictures (even though I like both) so Newspaper is definitely the better option for me. I think it would be a cool experience to work with a group of students here in school, to accomplish something important together. I also want to take this class because its tied with what I intend to be my future career, and I think its a very good idea to get a feel of what it is actually like to work on a publication project that takes weeks and weeks to develop. I strongly believe it will be a good experience for me, since I am interested in the course, and am also in need of joining a type of 'club' before I graduate High School, and what is better than something that I actually enjoy?!

2013 is here .. Review of 2012
PART 1:
I chose this picture above as one of my favorite photos of the year because I saw this live on TV! I remember when this happened during the Euro 2012 on France's victory against Ukraine. It is just a very memorable picture, and people (those who watched the Euro like me) couldn't stop talking about it for a while.
I chose this picture as my second favorite because it is unbelievably beautiful. The sky is stunningly clear blue, the clouds are amazingly white, and it is just beautiful. It looks so unreal.
Finally, I chose this picture as my third favorite of 2012, because this is unrealistically awesome. Wow. this is pure talent! These two live people look like gigantic barbie dolls. I can't understand how they got these two to look so much like Ken and Barbie. I think this is beautiful, and I know many will argue, but this is a clear, bold example of talent.
PART 2:
What was the best song of 2012?
For me, the best song of 2012 was "Charlie Brown" by the British band Coldplay. I think its the best song of 2012 because it symbolizes the Euro 2012, which was the major sports event (alongside the Olympics).
What was the best movie of 2012?
I hardly watch new movies (what a shame) but I believe the best movie of 2012 was "Skyfall" because it was the one most people where talking about, and I think a lot of people liked it. It was a huge success, and had people talking for a while (they are still talking about it and its 2013!) I think it was very influential, and shocking to the public. It was very well accepted, and will be remembered as "a 2012 thing"
What is the most important news story of 2012?
I believe it was the shooting in the Connecticut school, specially since it happen just when we are all getting ready for 2013. It was shocking, and touched the hearts of millions of people around the world, not only in the United States. It was totally the most important news story of 2012.
Who was the most important person of 2012?
I think the most important person of 2012 was
PART 3:
1.I think that the thing that stands out the most about my holiday is our (my mom, sister, I) failed attempt to visit the trail of lights downtown. It will always be memorable! It was tragic. We left our home at about eight at night, and what normally is a 20 minute drive downtown, turned into a 2-hour long traffic jam nightmare. It was terrible, but it was fun even though we didn't even set foot on the trail of lights since we decided to just leave since it was about to be eleven! I remember we where all mad, and the 2 hours and a half made us end up talking to each other and making up. Me and my sister talked football (soccer) non stop. It was nice after all.
2. Me and my sister decided to do 12 resolutions this year. One for every grape. (Good luck with that!) I have them written down on an Index card back in my house, but I can remember some: Eating Healthy, Learn (fully) Portuguese, be more patient (I think, maybe I wasn't brave enough), and exercising more.
3. For 2013, I'm looking forward to the new Football (soccer) season starting because this one sucked (for Real Madrid, my team) and I need to forget about it SOON. I am also looking forward to Marcelo's return to the team (one of our players out on Injury), and summer break is always something to look forward to!
