On this picture, you can clearly see the focal point are the towers. The attention is fragged to them because of the frame formed by the dark edge (right) and the water on the bottom half. There is a certain feeling framing causes. It is like when you frame the a photograph on your home, you are kind of circling the importance of the picture, and that is what is going on here with the twin towers.
