Africa & Mural Project Preview

POWERPOINT:
1. My Reaction:
Wow! It was amazing! I probably would have liked it better if it had been in color. Well, actually, I think that the facts that the photos weren't in color, gave the photo set a more elegant look. I really am fascinated by all of them! The photographer must be very talented because every single one of the photos is amazing! How is it even possible to get such impressive photos?! Wow, I am just shocked at the impressive professionalism that they possess.

3. The emptiness in this picture is simply grand. The immensity that is captured and the depth are incredible. It is simply a stunning picture in my eyes. You can clearly see the texture of the cracked mud.  I loved this picture, and it was my favorite, more than anything because of its simplicity. It is so clean and so clear, and that is what makes it so beautiful.  It is so pure.

4. The rule of thirds is applied. The round object (sorry, I am not sure what it is) is located in one off the key areas.  Simplicity also plays a role. The background is not so busy. It is clear and clean, and makes the focal point which is the round (unknown) object, stand out.

5.
a. He uses a Pentax 67II
b. He wishes to memorialize the greatness of East Africa because it is disappearing.
c.  He wants to show them (the animals) in their natural state, before they no longer can be seen in this way.
d. "At the current rate of destruction, there will be no animal populations of any consequence left outside of unprotected areas." (here)
