Framing
1. I think I did an okay job. Clearly not the best. I guess it is not SO bad since it is the first time I apply this rules to my photography.
2. The subject here is supposed to be the food that is being prepared.
3. I believe it is pretty clear that what I wanted to take the picture of, was the food that the student was preparing.
4. I think I could have found a better opportunity to apply this rule because in this picture, I am kind of cutting the persons head, and that is a big no no in photography.
Avoiding Merges
1. Since I was supposed to show what NOT to do, I think I did that just fine because I successfully cut the student's head completely which is NOT avoiding merges.
2. The subject here is supposed to be the camera that the student is using.
3. Yes, I think it is clear that my focal point was the camera on the student's hand.
4. It would of been a better Idea to position the camera around the rule of thirds, but sticking to the rule which was trying to be negatively proven.
Rule Of Thirds
1. I think I did a nice job of using the rule of thirds. Not perfect, but not that bad I guess.
2.The subject here is the interview that is taking place.
3. Yes. I think it is pretty obvious that I was trying to focus on the student Interview.
4. I don't know A LOT about these rules. From what I have learned about them, I believe I did a nice job of applying the job.
Lines
1. No. I think I didn't do a good job of projecting the Lines rule. It is really bad.
2. The subject was supposed to be the learning atmosphere, the class as a whole.
3. NO. I think you can't even tell what I was trying to take a picture of. It is terrible ! It is a complete mess because the class room is completely empty, so It is very hard for the audience to get the learning-atmosphere feel I was aiming to project.
4. First of all, I could have used the lines in a more dynamic way. After all, they are supposed to create a dynamic feel. The lines in my photograph are plain and boring, so they don't create it at all.
Balance
1. I don't think I did such a bad job on this one. The people in the classroom are pretty much balanced out, with three on the left and three on the right. Also, everything seems to be where it should be.
2.The subject was supposed to be the lesson. It was supposed to be the students listening to what the teacher is explaining.
3.Yeah. I think it is clear. I could have made it clearer though.
4. I actually can't think of anything, and I think its because I don't know a lot about these rules yet.
Simplicity
1. No. I did a terrible job actually ! You can't see the simplicity at all ! There is too much going on. It is simply not simple enough to project this rule properly.
2. The subject was supposed to be the interview.
3. Yes. I think that the focal point is clearly portrayed.
4. First of all, I could of looked for a simpler background that didn't have so much going on. what really bugged me about this picture, is the student that is standing behind the interviewer. I think that detail took all the simplicity from the photograph.
